I agree.  Since [Haskell-beginners] would take up about 20 characters,
I suggest a shortened form:

1.  [HS-beginners]
2.  [HS-begin]
3.  [HS-bgnr]
4.  [HS-B]

I think (3.) is a good balance between size and readability.
