Indeed, the wiki is not well. It has been experience periods of downtime since July, as you can see here: https://haskell-status.org/seqd

It is getting hit hard by the same crawlers that are affecting gitlab.haskell.org.

I had begun working on this... [checks notes] three weeks ago?! but I haven't made much progress.

I started with removing some of the technical debt that made every infrastructure change to the wiki unnecessarily laborious.

Then Haskell Infrastructure had a major incident (apart from the wiki) that stole my attention for a while. Finally, I've been sick this week. Altogether I've worked on it for a day so far.

There are some easy, obvious, and easy-but-not-so-obvious changes that may help the wiki survive the extra attention.

In any case, I very much want to AVOID using some of the bot-fighting technologies used by gitlab.haskell.org (e.g. Anubis).

Assuming no more disasters strike, I will work on this on Monday.
