Well, at the very least, if he's actually a self-taught machine, I imagine a lot of organizations will want to snatch him up right away.

It’s one thing to have created a computer that thinks it has taught itself, for uncertain values of the last two verbs.

It’s another to identify as a machine. Why would anyone want to do that?
