You also probably want to grab http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/8307, as it fixes runtime deadlocks when doing copious amounts of putStrLn'ing (and possibly other things) : ).

There was a bug where freeHaskellFunPtr would crash on iOS, which is now integrated into mainline GHC, so you may want to check this change out, especially if you are experiencing crashes.
