I just enabled the issue tracker for the ghc-ios Cabal branch if you want to add it there
https://github.com/ghc-ios/packages-Cabal/issues

(and of course you can just edit the cabal file for this package similar to the syb workaround if you want to get the package installed)

ok, thanks, no worries; if you (or someone) could point me to where to
start looking i could try to fix it myself (i'm not familiar with the
Cabal internals). in any case i'll report it in the issue tracker so it
doesn't get lost ...
