This is slightly confusing. Are those "+1"s for the original proposal or for starting a poll?

Counting email responses seems to be cumbersome, what about using some kind of public web service for this? We'd see all the results at one place. I haven't used anything like that before, but Google showed many such webapps: micropoll.com, easypolls.net, ...
