Finally I sorted it out.&nbsp; I used ~/.gnomerc to get xmonad launched as the window manager.&nbsp; Then I added xsetroot as a startup-program using Gnome&#39;s session control.&nbsp; Now I&#39;m onto exploring the EWMH stuff in the contrib package...<br>
