I had the same problem and solved it by putting:<br><br>Emacs*Font: Monospace-15<br><br>in .Xdefaults, and not bothering with a font tweak in .emacs.<br><br>I seem to recall that putting the same in .Xresources didn&#39;t cut it.<br>
