With this restriction your suggestion above can be limited to require a special name for the packages in HP only, e.g. haskell-hp-*. Bleeding edge packages would continue to be called haskell-*.

Vesa, I personally approve that naming scheme and suggest [extra] provides haskell-hp-* packages. What do you think of it ? -- Rémy.
