[dons00@gmail.com: Spec ready to go!]

I'm sure you all noticed it already, but just in case, the HP 2011.1 spec is ready to go. It specifies GHC 7.0.2 and a new version of cabal-install which builds with GHC7 without patches. Remy, are you planning on updating the staging repos soon-ish? Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. /M -- Magnus Therning OpenPGP: 0xAB4DFBA4 email: magnus@therning.org jabber: magnus@therning.org twitter: magthe http://therning.org/magnus Most software today is very much like an Egyptian pyramid with millions of bricks piled on top of each other, with no structural integrity, but just done by brute force and thousands of slaves. -- Alan Kay

Haha, I ought to know better. I sent the email this morning, before
going to work. As I got into the office I thought I'd enable the
staging repos and try out GHC7 a bit more extensively, just to find
that the GHC version has been updated already, but xmonad hasn't.

Yes, Vesa hap updated several base packages, I'm doing a bunch of the others right now. Rémy.

Is there anything depending on haskell-packedstring in the haskell repo? I am wondering whether we should remove it: it is marked as deprecated and the recommended replacement is bytestring which comes with GHC. Rémy.
