To get wxHaskell working on Ubuntu (and probably on most other platforms), you need to install the g++ compiler, see: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gcc/gcc-4.5.1/
I guess you need the file gcc-g++-4.5.1.tar.gz
