HP includes the html package, but everything I've seen that produces html uses blaze-html. Is html included for some historical reason?

Is html included for some historical reason? Yes it was part of the extras that used to get shipped with GHC. With release 6.12.1, the developers at GHC HQ moved out the non-core packages into the Haskell Platform.
So is there any reason not to replace it with blaze-html, or just that nobody's got around to it?
For the Platform, blaze-html would transistively introduce a couple of other packages, but they all look like stable ones to me - so if the blaze maintainers suggested inclusion I guess there would be positive support. Conceivably the blaze maintainers haven't suggested adding it yet.
