Comments? Perhaps we want to generalise this for the other dirs too, prefix, libdir etc to provide a way to have relocatable packages on unix with a wrapper script. Also, comments on the name of the environment variables would be appreciated and indeed if people agree that using env vars is the right approach. Duncan
