cabal patch, ticket 503

Hi, I'd like to submit a patch for Cabal. I understood I can attach it to the ticket (http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/503). Is it correct or should I use darcs send instead (or just attach it to a mail to this list)? Kind regards, Thu
