build profiling and non-profiling libraries in parallel?

Hi All, Just a suggestion: it would be nice if cabal could build the profiling and non-profiling version of libraries in parallel. (Of course, fully parallel builds would be nice, but perhaps this would be an easier step?) cheers, Nicholas — https://ntung.com — 4432-nstung

Hi Nicholas, My Google Summer of Code student, Mikhail Glushenkov, is working on parallel builds for Cabal this summer. The first milestone is to build separate packages in parallel, but if he has time he'll look into full parallel builds (at the module level). Cheers, Johan
