How can I get SSH access to www.haskell.org to upload the Cabal user guide?

Hi all, Who manages www.haskell.org? Where's the machine? How can I get an SSH account so I can upload the Cabal user guide for the Cabal version I just released? -- Johan

Looking here: http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Haskell.org_infrastructure It seems that haskell.org is hosted on lambda.haskell.org in the hezner data center. It looks like Duncan is the owner of haskell.org/cabal. You should be able to request shell access to lambda from the haskell-infrastructure mailing list: http://community.galois.com/mailman/listinfo/haskell-infrastructure Although perhaps Duncan will see your request here and handle it. When I've created shell accounts for people, I've needed: * requested login (tibbe?) * ssh pub key I hope that helps, Jason

Sorry for not replying to the list. That info is outdated as of last month and we need to update (its now in a vm on rock.haskell.org, the new box) . I've already put Johan in touch with our admins who can set him up. We can also modify that wiki page to note that Johan is 'in charge' of /cabal? --Gershom On 9/6/13 6:32 PM, Jason Dagit wrote:

I'd be happy to have my haskell.org account restored. I used to do the updates for the /cabal url. Ideally both Johan and I can get access. That'd give us a little redundancy. Duncan

BTW, can we move the Cabal website sources to the GitHub repo? That'd make it easier to update the website. -- () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments

The sources (.md) files are already on GitHub. Are there other sources as well?

The sources (.md) files are already on GitHub.
Only for the user guide, not for the website itself (e.g. the frontpage of haskell.org/cabal or http://www.haskell.org/cabal/download.html ). -- () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments
