Hello, I am considering volunteering at BayHac to help people hack on Cabal, though I don't know enough of the codebase to do it myself. Is anyone else interested in helping? BayHac is April 7th through 9th in San Francisco. Here is the webpage: https://wiki.haskell.org/BayHac2017 . Let me know, and then I'll ask to have Cabal added to the list of projects. Thanks. -Kristen

I'm sure that active contributors who can't attend in person will be willing to help remotely via IRC (though there's the time zone issue). Otherwise you can limit the scope of BayHac 2017 Cabal hacking to just the solver.

Thanks for the suggestions, Mikhail. I limited the scope to the dependency solver for now: https://wiki.haskell.org/BayHac2017/Cabal_dependency_solver . I also started a page for potential projects on the Cabal wiki: https://github.com/haskell/cabal/wiki/BayHac-2017 -Kristen On Sun, February 19, 2017 8:05 pm, Mikhail Glushenkov wrote:
