Well, it is time to fire up my tinderbox to test your patches :)
GHC 6.12.1 excludes many modules. e.g. Control.Monad.Trans. So mtl also needs to be packaged.
I think it needs to make a new port (as lang/ghc-devel), because perhaps some ports could have building problems with it.
That might be a good idea.
And, any ideas about bsd.haskell.mk ?
An updated version of it could be passed to the Ports Management Team for a test run, so it can be put in the tree. Then hs- ports might start to use it, as the resources permit. Cheers, :g
