Hi all, How is everyone doing ? Just noticed that the most active poster on this list is pgj's bot :p. Anyways, what are the plans to port GHC 6.12.1[1] ? And what about the future of this FreeBSD-Haskell effort ? On, 16th January, 2009, Gabor posted first message[2] to this list, and now 16th January, 2010 is a month away. Hi all, I'm sorry for this long time break but I have studied as a crazy until now in many directions :-). Anyway I think to start to update some haskell ports (or all) and I think a week is enough for all the work. About ghc-6.10.1, I have now a problem with my test computer (it's is broken down) and I have to wait some weeks before I can use a new computer to build the binary distribution files and to test the ports with it. About the future I don't know. I know! I'm a little bashful ... but my free time is small. In the near future I'll try to stay more on the irc channel to talk with you about haskell and freebsd. Jacula

Hi Jacula,
What kind of machine? I could find someone who can
give you a shell account on a machine to build binary
distribution files.
Regards.

Hi Samy, thank you very much :-). I prefer to install directly many different FreeBSD version for building and testing in many different environment. If I don't solve (but I have to solve) with a new computer or a new device, I'll accept with pleasure your proposal. Jacula

Hi, I propose that we start with Jacula's bsd.haskell.mk and update it to use GHC 6.10.1 and 6.12.1. And put all GHC/Haddock/HsColour specific information there. And then updating rest of the ports to use that bsd.haskell.mk. And initially I think we should manually include bsd.haskell.mk in ports like XPI ports do. .include "${.CURDIR}/../../lang/ghc/bsd.haskell.mk" I'll try to steal some time this weekend to work on this.
