GHC 6.12.1 is Officially Available for FreeBSD

Hello there, For your information, binary distributions tarballs for GHC 6.12.1 are now officially available [1]. Supported platforms are FreeBSD/i386 and FreeBSD/amd64 with 7.X and 8.X. It might be useful if you want to build Haskell Platform 2010.1.0.0 [2] on your machine, since it precisely requires this version of the compiler. Feel free to report if you experience any problems. Cheers, :g [1] http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_6_12_1.html#freebsd [2] http://hackage.haskell.org/platform/linux.html

You already announced 6.12.1 a long time ago. Don't you mean to announce 6.12.2 http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_6_12_2.html#freebsd ?

Never mind, I see. You released 6.12.2 then 6.12.1 because some require the older version.

Actually, I think its because this bug: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/4038 prevent ghc-6.12.2 from compiling gth2ks. Erik -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Erik de Castro Lopo http://www.mega-nerd.com/
