While my i386 machine is spinning up, can you try the attached patch? If you haven't cleaned your build tree, you can do:

$ git am ~/path/to/file.patch $ make

from the root of the tree, and it should keep going normally.

It seems to have worked: it's going along nicely, I think it got past the error stage. Hopefully I won't have any more problems. Much obliged. -- Mateusz K.
