are ghc commits only getting make fast test'd on OSX?

thats the only explanation of why i see soooo many test suite failues of a GHC RELEASE when i do make test ... why do we not have a full ./validate run on each tier one platform as part of some official release check list? DO WE HAVE a checklist for releases? if not, we should, this shouldn't be happening
