Hello Kazu, ..as this is a Cabal issue, this needs to be handled upstream; could you please file an issue at https://github.com/haskell/cabal/issues/new and mention there that we need that to be cherry-picked into the `1.18` branch as well -- as soon as it's in the 1.18 branch, we can update the GHC source tree to include that fix.
