I do not know why. Since there isn't a standard location to install completion files across distros, it might be good to have an optional flag during configure to specify a location and if one is specified, install the bash completion file into that location. I've checked the file `compiler/prelude/primops.txt.pp` which is processed to generate the file I'm having problems with and that file is fine.
