You just need ncurses. I downloaded ncurses and cross compiled it for arm, then put it in the cross-tools' sysroot directory under sysroot/usr. Or I guess you could just copy ncurses from your existing installation on your raspberry pi. That way you can be sure you got the right version. I actually did it that way, just forgot to post the right instructions here, sorry! I didn't use the official raspbian-toolchain, because I'm running archlinux on the pi and many libraries have different versions there. Stop. }}} I encountered this error too when messing around with this stuff. I didn't really investigate what caused it, it seemed to be due to configure detecting the wrong C compiler possibly.
