They produce output similar to that shown below. I am not quite sure how to test with clang. Just setting and exporting the environment variable CC to /usr/bin/clang (6) and running validate seemed to produce similar failures. Even though this feature has been in GHC since GHC 8.0, now with cabal 2.2 turning on ghc env file generation, this getting wider exposure.
