But alternatively, and perhaps better, we have [https://wiki.haskell.org/GHC GHC's collaborative documentation pages]. These are on the Haskell wiki, writable by anyone. The user manual is meant to specify what GHC does; these pages give advice about how to get the job done, examples, etc. The notes you give above would be rather good there.
