#13786: GHCi linker is dependent upon object file order -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: ppelleti | Owner: (none) Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Runtime System | Version: 8.0.2 (Linker) | Resolution: | Keywords: Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: Type of failure: Compile-time | Unknown/Multiple crash or panic | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by bgamari): Actually, I hadn't previously noticed that the error isn't from the runtime linker at all. Rather, it is from `dlopen`. It seems that we are linking each individual object file into a separate shared library and `dlopen`ing them individually. Why? Well, I don't know, but it sure seems silly. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/13786#comment:11 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
