What happens if you make a version of `FV` that uses its same setup (passing around partially applied functions, etc.) but without the list? Then rewrite the functions in terms of that? Also, I think it would be helpful not to use ticky profiling when generating these results (unless the data somehow comes from the ticky output), but also to include the allocations.
