#10800: vector-0.11 compile time increased substantially with 7.10.1 -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bgamari | Owner: bgamari Type: bug | Status: closed Priority: high | Milestone: 8.0.1 Component: Compiler | Version: 7.10.2 Resolution: fixed | Keywords: Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: Type of failure: Compile-time | Unknown/Multiple performance bug | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by dolio): Interesting. Do you by chance have 7.6.3 to compare with? 7.8 was already significantly worse than it. bgamari, is your max residency for 7.10 off? The figures for both 7.8 and 7.10 seem low to me, really. When I build the test suite on 7.10 I get like 11 GB max residency, and I'm not sure it would ever complete if I limited it to ~400 MB. Unless your test is a smaller case derived from the real test suite. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/10800#comment:21 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
