What I am concerned about is the possibility of another bug like #10000 being discovered that forces us to abandon this "all types are Typeable" approach. It just seems like common sense to me to make large language changes like this at the start of a version's development, not one week before the last release candidate. (And I say large because there are probably tens of thousands of "deriving Typeable" out there.
