The fact that it's reporting a platform path indicates that it's something platform did or was done after it was install. You must still have a config that points to that path. GHC does infer some paths, but they're always relative to where it was installed. A couple of things to check, 1) check your ghc settings file (should be in your bin or lib folder, a file called Settings).
