#11154: Problems using GHC-API on MacOS X -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: svenk | Owner: Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 7.10.2 Resolution: | Keywords: Operating System: MacOS X | Architecture: x86_64 Type of failure: Compile-time | (amd64) crash | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by thomie): The difference in linker arguments you are seeing is because the ghc api seems to default to dynamic linking. This seems to be a result of the confusion in #10636. Here is a workaround: replace the call to `setSessionDynFlags` by: {{{ setSessionDynFlags (updateWays dflags) }}} Dynamic linking should work though, so that link failure is a bug by itself. Can you confirm that the following command fails as well: `ghc -dynamic test.hs`. This might require a Nix expert to fix. Why does it mention 32-bit, while you are on a 64-bit platform. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/11154#comment:1 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
