 Incidentally, the failure in
 {{{#!hs
     isSigIntQuit n = sig == sigINT || sig == sigQUIT
       where
         sig = fromIntegral (-n)
 }}}
 only showed up on a 32-bit system because `sig :: CInt` is 32 bits, and so
 on a 64-bit system there is also a `GHC.Prim.narrow32Int#` in the case
 scrutinee (from the implementation of `negate` for `CInt`).
