If the system that the package is built on has libbsd installed then it'll use it. But if the target system does not have this C lib then the HsUnix.h header is broken on such systems.
This doesn't sound like an issue in `unix`, but rather an inherent issue with binaries built on a build-environment which is different from the target/deployment environment. I wouldn't consider this a bug in `unix`.
