#9200: Milner-Mycroft failure at the kind level -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: ekmett | Owner: goldfire Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 7.8.2 (Type checker) | Keywords: Resolution: | Architecture: Unknown/Multiple Operating System: | Difficulty: Unknown Unknown/Multiple | Blocked By: Type of failure: GHC | Related Tickets: rejects valid program | Test Case: | Blocking: | Differential Revisions: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by goldfire): OK. [wiki:GhcKinds/KindInference wiki page] updated, including type synonym CUSKs as described. I still find that a little wonky, but just in the concrete syntax, not the semantics. For what it's worth, my example in comment:34 does seem to require at least one CUSK -- at least, it does in 7.8. In any case, I think we're in agreement here about what to do, no? -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/9200#comment:36 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
