Do you have `-fobject-code` set in your cabal file somewhere? Of course what you are trying to do should work even so, but as a workaround you can use the bytecode interpreter. You do need to build your cbits with `-fPIC` here. I thought that Cabal was smart enough to do that automatically, but I guess not? Anyways, a Cabal issue and not a GHC one.
