It would be great if someone could offer a patch for this.
(Thanks Ben for your help in piloting me through the process.) Please see [https://github.com/ghc/ghc/pull/137 this Pull Request]. Hope I've done everything right. It was a bit daunting editting the whole of `glasgow_exts` as one monstrous file. I have (I hope) touched only section 10.16.
Misleading documentation is in many ways worse than no documentation.
I've at least corrected the most egregious errors. I also reviewed refs/links to ScopedTypeVariables from other sections.
