Why exactly do you need a `Typeable` instance for types involving `Any`? In the example you give in "Context", you could perfectly well declare your own data type `MyAny` and use it instead of `Any`. Can you give a more complete example that shows why it's essential to have a `Typeable` instance for GHC's `Any`?
