#11011: Add type-indexed type representations (`TypeRep a`) -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bjmprice | Owner: Type: feature request | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: | Unknown/Multiple Type of failure: None/Unknown | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by simonpj): Oh yes, we have section about that: 5.8 in the paper. OK then, how do we implement `spitPolyTyConApp`. The old API looked like: {{{ splitPolyTyConApp :: TypeRep -> (TyCon,[KindRep],[TypeRep]) }}} but what should the API look like now? Presumably the type args should be done with the new type-app-decomposition stuff, and when that says "not a type application" we can ask for the `TyCon` and `KindRep` args? -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/11011#comment:17 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
