#14980: Runtime performance regression with binary operations on vectors -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: ttylec | Owner: (none) Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 8.2.2 Resolution: | Keywords: vector | bitwise operations Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: Type of failure: Runtime | Unknown/Multiple performance bug | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by ttylec): As a suplement: it is related to optimization. I usually use -O2, but effect is present also with -O2. With -O0 on GHC 8.0.2 there is no speed- up in binarized version. Program compiled with GHC 8.2.2 with -O0 crashes(!) -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/14980#comment:1 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
