I assumed the answer was "yes", because the CPP condition that controls the definition of {{{OVERWRITING_CLOSURE}}} was {{{ #if defined(PROFILING) || (!defined(THREADED_RTS) && defined(DEBUG)) }}} which evaluates to true in {{{thr_p}}}.
