what matters is that the sampled maximum residency for default was lower than allow-cg (192 vs. 196MB)
Interesting. So the (fairly complicated) closure-growth analysis busy us only 2% reduction in residency. That raises the question of whether the gain is worth the pain. We should explore that in the paper -- and of course measure more programs.
