#13233: typePrimRep panic while compiling GHC with profiling -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bgamari | Owner: Type: bug | Status: new Priority: highest | Milestone: 8.2.1 Component: Compiler | Version: 8.0.1 Resolution: | Keywords: Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: Type of failure: Compile-time | Unknown/Multiple crash or panic | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by bgamari): Hmm, interesting... `CoreUtils.mkTick` actually does the exact opposite of what I suggest: it pushes ticks **into** type applications. This certainly explains my observations. Unfortunately there's no explanation given for why we want to do this. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/13233#comment:19 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
