#11011: Add type-indexed type representations (`TypeRep a`) -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bjmprice | Owner: Type: feature request | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Operating System: Unknown/Multiple | Architecture: | Unknown/Multiple Type of failure: None/Unknown | Test Case: Blocked By: | Blocking: Related Tickets: | Differential Rev(s): Wiki Page: | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by goldfire): If we have an un-indexed `TyCon` type (an idea I quite like), then we can do something like this: {{{ splitPolyTyConApp :: TypeRep a -> (TyCon, [TypeRepX]) }}} which gets you all the arguments. But it loses all connection with the original type. In other news, nowhere on Hackage (as downloaded sometime in the fall) is `splitPolyTyConApp` used. So maybe we just drop it. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/11011#comment:19 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
