Always call "nm -P" (for POSIX.2 standard output). The output looks like {{{ derivedConstantMAX_Vanilla_REG C 0000000b 0000000b }}} for gnm or like {{{ derivedConstantMAX_Vanilla_REG D 1 b }}} for Solaris nm.
