 Copying the original example here for visibility, the issue (bug?) is that
 the (polymorphic in `Num`) function `f` defined by
 {{{#!hs
 f a1 a2 a3 a4 a5 a6 a7 a8 a9 a10
   = a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 + a5 + a6 + a7 + a8 + a9 + a10
 }}}
 has quadratic code size and allocations in the number of arguments (here
 10).
