 A few tests (T13658 T14779a T14779b T14868 debug parsing001) fail running
 validate using HEAD and 8.4.1.  They produce output similar to that shown
 below.

 I am not quite sure how to test with clang.  Just  setting and exporting
 the environment variable CC to /usr/bin/clang (6) and running validate
 seemed to produce similar failures.

 I was unable to try with LLVM because that now seems to be on version 6,
 which doesn't build.
