I'm also poking with stack, making it support installations of recent GHC versions. That's why we need working bindists for FreeBSD. Would it be possible to produce a bindist for 8.4.3 too, at least? And another thought - maybe I can add some logic to create bindist right into FreeBSD port? So you just do `make -C /usr/ports/lang/ghc bindist` on a fresh system and get a tarball.
