[GHC] #12986: Ignore case when parsing language pragmas

#12986: Ignore case when parsing language pragmas -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: dfeuer | Owner: Type: feature | Status: new request | Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 8.0.1 (Parser) | Keywords: | Operating System: Unknown/Multiple Architecture: | Type of failure: None/Unknown Unknown/Multiple | Test Case: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Related Tickets: Differential Rev(s): | Wiki Page: -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- It's annoying to have to remember exactly how a language extension is supposed to be capitalized. It seems highly unlikely that we will ever have two different language extensions that differ only by case. Therefore, I think GHC should ignore case when matching `{-# LANGUAGE #-}` pragmas. Thus, we should accept not only `UndecidableSuperClasses` but also `UndecidableSuperclasses`, etc. -- Ticket URL: http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/12986 GHC http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ The Glasgow Haskell Compiler
